Hyderabad: In a disturbing incident, a female employee of Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TSSPDCL) approached Chaitanyapuri Police in Hyderabad on Saturday, accusing Telangana Crime Investigation Department (CID) SP Kishan Singh of sexual harassment. The brave woman, in her formal complaint, revealed that the harassment had been ongoing for a considerable period, starting from the time when she was preparing for national-level competitions at Saroor Nagar stadium.
According to her statement, the accused, Kishan Singh, had repeatedly insisted that she attend special classes organized by him. During this time, he allegedly obtained her contact number and began stalking her through unsolicited and lewd messages, photographs, and videos sent on WhatsApp. The situation escalated when the SP demanded that she consult him regarding a certain case.
Taking these serious allegations into account, the police have registered a case against Kishan Singh under Section 354A of the Indian Penal Code, which pertains to instances of sexual harassment. As of now, the investigation is ongoing, and further details are awaited.
Authorities are expected to thoroughly examine the evidence and testimonies in this distressing matter to ensure justice is served.
