Hyderabad: Telangana State government will host Three day Fish Food Festival from June 8 to June 10 to mark the celebrations of Telangana Formation Day on June 2nd. As per Instructions from Telangana Cheif Minister Shri K Chandrashekhar Rao, the festival will be organised by the Fisheries Department.
In a review meeting on Wednesday, Animal husbandry and Fisheries Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav said that, this festival would become a grand affair serving lots of varieties of fish dishes with 20-30 stalls during the month of Mrigasira Karthi. He ordered the officials to ensure all types of fish dishes includes fish curry, fish fry, fish biryani and many more were available at the festival.
Minister also directed the officials from the fishermen community to provide the training on preparing different types of dishes for women for free. These women will then be able to set up the status at the festival for selling their dishes. Further he explained about arrangements for the development and welfare programmes for the fishermen welfare community by the State Government.
State Ministers and other state public representatives will be invited for the food festival inauguration. People who made special services to the Fisheries sector will be honoured in recognition of their services, on this occasion. He also wanted to establish stall s of the dairy products of the Vijaya Dairy Parlour at food festivals requested authorities.
Minister also informed that, Cultural programmes would be organised at the fish food festival for entertaining purpose. For promotion of fish consumption and to showcase the Fisheries resources this festival would be a great opportunity.
Pittala Ravinder, who was appointed as the Chairman of the State Fisheries Cooperative Society, Minister felicitated him with a small shawl and wished him good luck.
