Hyderabad- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has personally handed over appointment letters to 6,956 staff nurses from various healthcare departments, courtesy of the Telangana Medical and Health Services Recruitment Board (MHSRB). This significant event took place at LB Stadium on Wednesday, where the Chief Minister expressed his congratulations to the newly appointed nurses. He revealed that the State Government plans to fill nearly two lakh positions over the next year, utilizing the services of the Telangana State Public Services Commission (TSPSC) and the Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board.
The TSMHSRB successfully completed the recruitment process for the 6,956 staff nurse positions in a commendable 13-month period. The initiative to recruit nurses for government healthcare facilities in Telangana was initiated by the former BRS Government back in December 2022.
During the event, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy took a swipe at the previous administration, stating, “The success of the Telangana movement was fueled by the efforts of unemployed youth. Unfortunately, the BRS Government neglected the unemployed for a decade, merely favoring their family members with key positions. Despite our efforts to fill vacancies, Harish Rao criticizes us. Our Government has appointed new chairman and members in the TSPSC, and I assure you that we will fill two lakh government job vacancies within a year.”
