Exciting times for Bollywood fans as the highly anticipated official trailer of Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming movie “Jawan” has just dropped, and it’s promising a roller-coaster ride of action, emotions, and impactful dialogues!
Just a week before the film’s release on September 7, 2023, directed by Atlee in three languages – Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu – this might just be a groundbreaking move for mainstream cinema.
Shah Rukh Khan, the charismatic lead, took to his social media, formerly known as Twitter, to share the news: “Of Justice & A Jawan. Of Women & their Vengeance. Of a Mother & A Son. And of course, a lot of Fun!!! Ready Ahhh!!! #JawanTrailer out now! #Jawan releasing worldwide on 7th September, 2023 in Hindi, Tamil & Telugu.”
The trailer kicks off with a mysterious scene of a wounded figure floating in a river, later rescued by a tribe. Shah Rukh’s character’s voiceover sets the tone: “Once upon a time, there was a king, and after him, one war after another. Hungry, thirsty, lost in the jungle. Filled with anger.”
Intrigue escalates as we witness him and his team, including Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, and Aaliyah Qureshi, taking control of a metro train, holding commuters hostage.
A particularly crackling moment unfolds as a voice from a handheld transceiver questions Shah Rukh, “What do you want?” to which he boldly retorts, “I want Alia Bhatt.” This is just a glimpse of the trailer’s beginning, as it packs more than the earlier teaser unveiled in July.
Throughout the trailer, Shah Rukh flaunts diverse looks, from grey-haired to mustached, sparking fan speculations of a potential double role.
Nayanthara steps in as the cop determined to bring down Shah Rukh’s vigilante persona, but their chemistry hints at a complex dynamic beyond the chase.
Deepika Padukone makes a special appearance, engaging in a gripping wrestling scene with Shah Rukh.
Enter the main antagonist, played by Vijay Sethupathi. His character, Kalee, claims to be the “fourth largest weapons dealer in the world,” adding an intense layer to the story.

Similar to Shah Rukh’s previous hit “Pathaan,” “Jawan” strikes a patriotic chord.
