Tirupati- Despite facing opposition from within her own party, Minister for Culture and Tourism R K Roja remains confident of securing a hat-trick victory from the Nagari constituency. Asserting her strong rapport with the people and party cadre, she believes this will translate into positive votes during the upcoming elections. Unfazed by internal dissent, Roja asserts that the lack of support from dissenting voices within her party indicates their isolation and minimal impact on her electoral prospects. She has announced plans to kickstart her campaign soon, undeterred by rumors of being shifted to another constituency or being considered for the Ongole Lok Sabha ticket.
Roja expressed her confidence, stating, “I have become a member of every family in my constituency over the last decade, and they trust me to fulfill their aspirations.” She emphasized her accessibility to the people and party cadre, citing it as her greatest strength compared to her predecessors. Roja highlighted her leadership during local bodies’ elections, where the YSRCP emerged victorious against competitors from various parties.
Roja further emphasized her commitment to development, noting that long-standing needs of villages had been addressed under her tenure. She highlighted the support provided to constituents during the challenging period of the Covid pandemic. Currently focused on pending constituency works, Roja plans to initiate her formal campaign once these tasks are completed.
Addressing concerns of various sections and communities, Roja stressed her inclusive approach, urging support based on her track record rather than considerations of caste or community. In response to queries regarding support for power loom workers, she assured that the government would soon issue a Government Order (GO) to reduce electricity charges, demonstrating her efforts to address diverse needs within the constituency.
Confident of victory with a significant margin, Roja remains optimistic about her electoral prospects, citing her dedication to constituency welfare and balanced distribution of welfare schemes. With the elections looming, Roja’s assertion of support and commitment to her constituents sets the stage for a closely watched electoral contest in Nagari constituency.
