Revanth Reddy Alleges Telangana CM Corruption, Questions Owaisi’s Support

Date:

Hyderabad- PCC Chief A Revanth Reddy reiterated his allegations of corruption against Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, claiming that he had embezzled around Rs 1 lakh crore. Reddy also raised questions about AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi’s support for Rao.

Expressing concerns over Owaisi’s support for Rao, Reddy addressed a gathering at Necklace Road on the first anniversary of the Bharat Jodo Yatra. He likened Asaduddin Owaisi to “another Nizam” and questioned his allegiance to Rao.

Reddy, switching to Hindi during his speech, asserted that the Congress would reclaim the city in the upcoming assembly elections, saying, “This time Congress will win, and the City will be ours (Shaher Hamara).”

Referring to Rao’s backing of several controversial bills introduced by the Modi government in Parliament, bills that were opposed by Owaisi, Reddy questioned the rationale behind supporting Rao. He asked, “What is the reason that you support KCR? Everyone has the right to fight for the success of the party, but when you are supporting a fraud (chor) like KCR who embezzled Rs 1 lakh crore, then questions arise about your involvement in it.”

Emphasizing the message conveyed by Rahul Gandhi during his Bharat Jodo Yatra, Reddy argued that the ruling BJP at the center was following a policy of “divide and rule.” He also reminded the audience that it was under the Congress government that Telangana was liberated from the autocratic rule of the Nizams.
