Ram Lalla’s Eyes to Remain Veiled Until Pran Pratishtha

Ayodhya – Acharya Satyendra Das, the Chief Priest of Sri Ram Janmbhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, stated that the eyes of the Ram Lalla idol would not be revealed before the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony, scheduled for Monday. The rituals will be led by a team of priests, with Prime Minister Modi participating. The idol, crafted by Arun Yogiraj, was recently placed inside the Sanctum Santorum, initially covered with a veil. Despite the priest’s assertion, pictures of the Ram Lalla idol with exposed eyes have circulated online.

Acharya Satyendra Das emphasized, “The eyes of Lord Ram’s idol cannot be revealed before Pran Pratishtha is completed. The idol where the eyes of Lord Ram can be seen is not the real idol.” He called for an investigation into how the images of the idol with exposed eyes became viral. While confirming that standard procedures would be followed, he made it clear that the eyes of Ram Lalla would remain concealed until the completion of the ‘Pran Pratishtha.’

Addressing the process of transferring the idol to the temple’s Sanctum Santorum, Acharya Satyendra Das explained, “It will be established in the Sanctum Santorum of the temple, where the new idol will be installed. There is also no auspicious timing for this. An auspicious timing is predicted when something new has to be done. This is a procedure.”
