Omnicom Chooses Hyderabad: Media Giant to Set Up Global Centre, Creating 2,500 Jobs

Hyderabad: Omnicom Group, a well-known global media, marketing, and communications company, has unveiled its plans to set up a large Global Capability Centre (GCC) in the city. This move is expected to create job opportunities for around 2,500 individuals.

The announcement follows a productive meeting between Industries Minister KT Rama Rao and his team and Omnicom’s leadership in New York. The Minister expressed his satisfaction with the swift progress of discussions that began in May, with plans now taking shape by August. He emphasized that Omnicom’s decision aligns seamlessly with the city’s vision of nurturing innovation and growth in the media industry.

Zaid Al Rashid, the Global Executive Vice President of Digital Operations at Omnicom Group, affirmed that Hyderabad was the preferred choice for their new GCC. With a global presence spanning 100 countries, Omnicom’s choice to expand its footprint in India underscores the nation’s strategic significance in the global media arena.

This move by a prominent industry leader like Omnicom to establish a Global Capability Centre is expected to accelerate advancements in the media field and contribute to sustained growth in Telangana.

Hyderabad’s reputation as a favored location for establishing global GCCs continues to attract key players in the industry.
