Odisha Chief Minister Updates PM Modi on Train Accident Victim’s Medical Treatment

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik recently spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the phone to provide an update on the situation following a Train accident. The Chief Minister updated the Prime Minister on the ongoing medical treatment of the victims and assured him that they were taking all possible steps to save lives.

The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) issued a statement affirming that they were making every effort to save the lives of the injured passengers undergoing treatment in various hospitals across Odisha. The doctors, medical students, and even common people were stepping forward to donate blood for the injured individuals.

Chief Minister Patnaik emphasized the government’s commitment to valuing every life, stressing that they were leaving no stone unturned in the rescue operation, transportation of the injured to hospitals, and making necessary arrangements for their treatment. A total of 1,175 patients have been admitted to various hospitals, and 793 patients have already been discharged, reflecting the current situation. He further mentioned that the majority of the injured were in stable condition.

Chief Minister Patnaik informed Prime Minister Modi that 382 passengers were currently undergoing treatment in both government and private hospitals. The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister and the Odisha government for their prompt and efficient actions during the crisis. He assured them that the central government was ready to provide any necessary assistance.
