Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was arrested in Cordelia cruise drugs raid was was conducted by the Superintendent of Police (SP) Vishwa Vijay Singh team in 2021 has been suspended by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
Recently concluded after an inquiry Ministry of Home Affairs ordered the dismissal of the NCB officer in unrelated case related to misconduct.
In last year April Vishwa Vijay Singh was suspended while an investigation was conducted by the NCB regarding his conduct, According to NCB officials.
Removal of SP Vishwa Vijay Singh was confirmed by NCB Director General Satya Narayan Pradhan.
Controversial Raid on Cordelia Cruise
Zonal director Sameer Wankhede who led the Mumbai NCB had raid the Cordelia Cruise at the International terminal of Cruise in Oct 2021 and seized drugs and ₹1.33 lakh in cash, claimed by NCB.
In this case, 14 people were caught and Aryan Khan, Munmun Dhamecha and Arbaz Merchant were arrested after some hours of questioning on Oct 3.
In November, Following allegations against Mumbai NCB team, including Sameer Wankhede the former Zonal director and a seperate vigilance inquiry was conducted and this resulted in departmental action initiated against seven officers.
Aryan Khan released from the case with clean chit and Whankede transferred to Chennai.
A special Investigation team formed in NCB, deputy director general Sanjay Kumar Singh was lead to reinvestigate the raids. And several irregularities were found in the reinvestigation of the raid and they didn’t found the evidence that Aryan Khan was involved in international drugs trafficking syndicate or in any larger drugs conspiracy.
