Malaika Arora’s Childhood Struggles in Rented Home: A Tough Journey

Model and actress Malaika Arora, currently serving as a judge on ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa,‘ took a nostalgic journey into her childhood during a recent episode. Sharing insights into her early struggles, Malaika reflected on her days spent in a rented house in Chembur, Maharashtra, with her sister Amrita Arora and their mother after her parents’ separation.

In a poignant moment on the celebrity dance reality show, wrestler Sangeeta Phogat and choreographer Bharat Ghare presented a powerful performance to the song ‘Jo Bheji Thi Duaa,’ highlighting the challenges faced by construction workers who build homes for others but lack a home themselves.

Touched by the performance, Malaika became emotional and shared her own experiences, stating, “I remember we used to live in a rented house. We didn’t have our own house. We often joke that we lived in a matchbox during our childhood. I remember how small the house was.” She expressed the difficulty of living in cramped conditions and the determination to buy a house once she could afford it.

Addressing Sangeeta, Malaika praised the concept of the performance, commending its interpretation and conveying a powerful message. She noted Sangeeta’s natural acting skills, suggesting that the wrestler has emerged as a brilliant actress during her journey on ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.’ Malaika encouraged Sangeeta to explore acting further, affirming her talent in dancing, emoting, and acting.

‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ airs on Sony, providing a platform for celebrities to showcase their dancing prowess and share personal stories.
