Lucknow with 257 runs as second highest total in IPL T20

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) registered the second-highest total in the Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Friday, April 28 in Mohali Stadium.

LSG won the toss and picked bat first and posted 257 with loss of 5 wickets in allotted overs of 20. Marcus Stoinis scored 72 runs off 40 balls and stood as top scorer with five sixes and six four boundaries.

Followed batters Kyle Mayers scoring 54 runs off 24 balls with four sixes and seven four boundaries. And next followed by Nicholas Pooran scores 45 off 19 balls and Ayush Badoni with 43 runs off 24 deliveries hits the Six sixes and 13 four boundaries together entertains the audience with their bat.

From Punjab Kings, Kagiso Rabada with 2 wickets for 52 runs. Arshaderp Singh, Sam Curran and Liam Livingstone picked one wicket each.

Lucknow levels with top in the table Rajasthan Royals, both teams won five matches out of eight matches in this ongoing TATA IPL T20 2023.

UpTo Now, The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) with 263/5 against Pune Warriors holds the highest total record in IPL 2013.

In 2016, RCB scores 248/3 against Gujarat Lions and held as second highest IPL score before Lucknow Super Giants breaks the record on April 28 2023.

Punjab Kings never chased the target over 206 runs (against Sunrisers Hyderabad) in the T20 tournament history.

Overall, with 278/3 score the highest record holds by Afghanistan against Ireland in Dehradun in T20s in 2019 February.
