Joint YSR District Emphasizes Cooperation for Effective Welfare Programs

Date:

Kadapa- In a recent general body meeting of the joint YSR district, officials and representatives highlighted the importance of working together to ensure the successful implementation of welfare programs and development initiatives in the district. The meeting also stressed the need for transparency in the actions of government officials to benefit the underprivileged.

The meeting, presided over by ZP Chairman Akepati Amarnath Reddy, took place on Tuesday. Chairman Amarnath Reddy reiterated the government’s commitment to advancing development activities. He emphasized that achieving these goals would be a formidable task without the cooperation of both politicians and officers.

According to Chairman Amarnath Reddy, the administration has formulated a comprehensive plan for the development of the joint YSR district. However, he pointed out that executing this plan would be challenging without effective coordination between representatives and officials. He also informed the gathering that pending bills related to various developmental projects are being processed and will be cleared in phases.

MLC Ramgopl Reddy suggested a change in the approach to the Farm Mechanization program. He proposed distributing mini tractors to individual farmers rather than groups. Additionally, he urged the administration to address the issue of water supply for agriculture in the Chakrayapet and Addala marri areas of Chakrayapet mandal, as farmers are currently facing difficulties accessing water through filter points. Ramgopl Reddy also called for the establishment of food processing units in both YSR and Annamayya districts.

In response, Joint Collector G Ganesh Kumar assured the members that the administration would take steps to address the problems raised during the meeting before the next session.

The meeting covered various topics, including agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, YSR Bharosa Kendrams, YSR Free Insurance Bima, medical and health services, education, Manabadi Nadu-Nedu, women and child welfare, housing, DWMA, and others as specified in the agenda. Notable attendees included Badvel MLA Dr. Sudha, MLC Rama Subba Reddy, government agriculture advisor Iragam Reddy Tirupal Reddy, ZP CEO Sudhakar Reddy, and others.

In summary, the joint YSR district’s general body meeting highlighted the importance of cooperation among officials and representatives to ensure the successful implementation of development programs, with a focus on transparency and addressing pressing issues in the region.
