Hyderabad: Hyderabad’s esteemed educational institutions have once again demonstrated their exceptional performance in the National Institute of Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings. The rankings, released by the Department of Higher Education under the Union Ministry of Education, have showcased the excellence of these institutions.
Among the top 100 educational institutions overall, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Hyderabad and the University of Hyderabad (UoH) have maintained their respective rankings of 14th and 20th from last year. In the field of pharmacy, the prestigious National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) in Balanagar has made remarkable progress, securing the top rank in India.
The University of Hyderabad has retained its 10th position among the top 100 universities in the country, while IIT-Hyderabad has improved its ranking in the top 100 engineering colleges, moving up from 9th to 8th place. However, the Osmania University has experienced a decline in rankings, dropping from 22nd to 36th in the list of top universities in India.
In the realm of technical education, notable engineering colleges in Telangana have shown improvement in their performance according to the NIFR rankings. IIT-Hyderabad has moved up to 8th place from 9th last year, while NIT Warangal has maintained its rank at 21st nationwide. Similarly, the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT, Hyderabad) has advanced to the 55th position, compared to its previous ranking of 62nd. However, JNTU-Hyderabad has experienced a decline, falling from 76th to 83rd in the top engineering colleges rankings.
In the top 100 law schools, the city’s National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) has secured an impressive 3rd rank in the country. Additionally, the IIT-Hyderabad has been recognized as the 3rd best institution known for its innovation among the top 10 institutions in the country.
These rankings reflect the dedication and commitment of Hyderabad’s educational institutions towards providing high-quality education and fostering innovation. It is a testament to their continued pursuit of excellence in their respective fields.
