Heavy Rains Prompt Cyberabad Police’s Staggered Timings Advisory for IT Companies

HYDERABAD – As incessant heavy rains continue to lash the city, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Madhapur Zone, issued an advisory on Tuesday urging IT companies to implement staggered timings for their employees. The move comes as a measure to alleviate traffic congestion exacerbated by the ongoing downpour.

In light of the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) forecast predicting heavy rains for Tuesday and Wednesday, the Cyberabad Police has outlined a three-phase schedule for IT companies falling under its jurisdiction.

Phase 1, slated to commence at 3:00 PM, applies to companies situated along the IKEA to Cyber Towers Road. Additionally, companies located in Raheja Mindspace, HSBC, Dell, and various others in the Madhapur and Kondapur Avance area are also included in this phase.

Phase 2, starting at 4:30 PM, covers the stretch from IKEA and its surroundings to Bio-Diversity and Raidurgam. Companies within Knowledge City, Knowledge Park, T Hub, Galaxy, LTI & Twitza, Commerzóme, RMZ Nexity, Skyview 10 & 20, Diyashree Orion, Ascendas, and other establishments within the vicinity are part of this phase.

Phase 3, scheduled from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, focuses on the Financial District, Gachibowli, and prominent IT companies such as Microsoft, Infosys, Wipro, Centaurus, Broadway, Virtusa, BSR IT park, ICICI, Waverock, Amazon, Honeywell, Hitachi, Sattva Capital, Cap Gemini, GAR, Franklin Templeton, Q City, DLF, and other companies and IT Parks in the area.

The staggered timings are expected to help companies manage their workforce efficiently and ease traffic congestion during peak hours. It is a proactive measure taken by the authorities to ensure the safety and convenience of commuters in the wake of heavy rainfall.

The Cyberabad Police advises all companies falling under the specified zones to adhere to the prescribed timings until further notice, as they continue to monitor the weather situation closely.
