Heavy Rains Wreak Havoc in Hyderabad and Telangana

Hyderabad: Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana, incessant rainfall has created chaos and disruptions as a result of the recurring weather pattern in the Northeast Bay of Bengal. Hyderabad, is experiencing heavy rainfall, leading to flooding in low-lying areas. This has made life difficult for students heading to schools and colleges, as well as employees trying to reach their workplaces, due to the relentless downpour. The roadways are severely affected, causing extensive traffic jams.

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning, predicting heavy to very heavy rains for the next two to three days in numerous districts across Telangana. An orange alert has been issued for nine districts, indicating the potential for significant rainfall, while 18 districts are under a yellow alert, signifying caution.

The city chaos, there is a crisis unfolding in the joint districts of Adilabad and Bhupalapalli. Continuous heavy rain since last night has led to rivers overflowing, cutting off transportation to several villages. In Nirmal district, the Kadem project is experiencing an influx of floodwater. To manage the situation, authorities have decided to lift two gates and release water downstream. The situation remains critical as the region grapples with the consequences of these heavy rains.
