Hyderabad- The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) was honored with the Swachh Survekshan Award for the year 2023. The prestigious award ceremony took place in New Delhi, where GHMC received a remarkable five-star rating in the coveted All India Clean City category.
Union Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, representing the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, presented the award to GHMC Commissioner D Ronald Rose. The accolade recognizes the corporation’s outstanding efforts in maintaining cleanliness and promoting sanitation within the city.
A distinguished team from GHMC was present to receive the award, including Additional Commissioner (Sanitation) R Upender Reddy, Project Manager Soma Bharath from SBM (Swachh Bharat Mission), and Sanitary Field Assistant Manjula from Kapra Circle.
