BJP Activist Attempts Self-Immolation to Protest Against Renomination Decision

Hyderabad- Jagtial BJP leaders and workers staged a protest on Friday outside the BJP State office, urging the party leadership not to renominate Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

During the protest, an activist named Satish attempted self-immolation, prompting swift intervention from party workers who successfully thwarted his efforts and confiscated the petrol bottle from him. The demonstration continued with BJP functionaries displaying placards and chanting slogans such as “We want justice, Arvind down down, and Arvind kho hatao BJP bachao.”

Expressing their grievances, the functionaries accused Arvind of mistreating party workers and disrespecting senior leaders. They emphasized their stance that if Arvind were to be renominated, they would actively work to ensure his defeat in the polls.

The protest underscored growing dissatisfaction within the BJP ranks regarding Arvind’s leadership and highlighted the determination of party members to address their concerns and uphold party values.
