New Delhi crime : A 20-year-old boyfriend allegedly brutally stabbed to death a 16-year-old girl in broad daylight in the Shahbad Dairy area of Outer Delhi. The Delhi Police acted swiftly and successfully apprehended the accused, identified as Sahil, who works as an air conditioning repair mechanic, in connection with this heinous murder.
According to a police official familiar with the case, the victim was walking along the street when Sahil abruptly intercepted her. Without any warning, he launched a savage attack, repeatedly stabbing her with a knife and striking her head with stones.
Further investigation revealed that Sahil and the victim were in a relationship, but on that unfortunate day, they had a heated quarrel. Tragically, the girl, who had plans to attend a birthday celebration for her friend Neetu’s son, became the target of their altercation. Seizing the moment, Sahil unleashed a brutal assault on her.

The authorities were alerted to the horrifying crime when a police informer discovered the lifeless body of the girl lying on a street in the Shahbad Dairy area. Responding promptly, the police dispatched a PCR (Police Control Room) vehicle to the crime scene and registered a case of murder.
The shocking incident drew the attention of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who expressed his deep sadness and concern while directing his criticism toward Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena. Kejriwal took to Twitter, stating, “It is extremely saddening and unfortunate that a minor girl was brutally murdered in broad daylight in Delhi crime . Criminals have grown fearless, and there is a lack of fear towards the police. Law and order is your responsibility, L-G sir. Immediate action is necessary to ensure the safety of the people of Delhi.”
Atishi, a minister from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), also voiced her outrage on social media, calling attention to the responsibility of the Lieutenant Governor to protect the people of Delhi. She expressed her deep concern about the safety of women in the city and urged the Lieutenant Governor to prioritize this issue over political conflicts.
Swati Maliwal, Chairperson of the Delhi Commission for Women, also expressed shock and dismay, emphasizing the audacity of criminals in Delhi. She issued a notice to the police, stressing that the situation has reached an alarming level, and decisive action is imperative.
